Apres-ski is just a fancy way of saying what you do after skiing. For some, that means drinks on the side of the mountain, served to you at a bar. In my experience people interpret "après ski" as going partying after skiing/boarding. Either in a large club with loud music, a small bar or tavern on the mountain (to then ski down drunk)
