I thought that as a scary movie it was not as effective as The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, or even Quarantine (all mockumentaries), because it kept breaking the oppressive tension that horror mockumentaries are famous for by pushing the audience away, diverting from the action to look at news articles or variety shows.
