(link) When I was talking about "internal narrative" I guess I was thinking of a high level internal narrative (what Dennett talks about as "heterophenomenological"), capable of reporting something like "I'm angry with myself because I stubbed my toe" rather than just "there is pain" - which presumably a bicameral human (as I imagine them not having read the book) wouldn't have.
