Now I grant you that some blogs are filled with pretty ghastly ravings and one or two well-read ones are strewn with language one used only to hear on the terraces of football grounds, but there is some quite excellent writing out there, some of it far superior to some of the rubbish (increasingly ill-spelt as well) one finds in the once-proud Telegraph these days.
