damage inflicted by aweapon on avehicle thatimmobilises it, but does not totallydestroy it, leaving the vehicle's crew able to use its weapons. Typically this term is used to refer totanks and otherarmoured fighting vehicles that have their engines, tracks, or running gear damaged.
