Aug 31st, 2006 at 10: 22 am omosubi for me omusubi is also known as onigiri. people have said onigiris originated with the samurais. they needed a quick and easy-to-carry meal when they traveled or were at war. as for present day japan, you can purchase an onigiri at convenience stores and vending machines. you know, for our commute and our war with those delinquent copiers.
