• noun In petrography, a phaueric igneous rock composed of tabular soda-orthoclase (cryptoperthite) with subordinate amount of horn blende and biotite, and a little diopside, nephelite, sodalite, and accessory minerals. It is a syenite with trachytic texture, containing a little nephelite.
