The tuktuks are a more colourful version of the autorickshaw; malls in crayony colours are the same-old; there is the green smudge of moss on rained out streets; and palm trees swaying under gathering banks of clouds suddenly a postcard from Kerala.

Delhi!! rubbish everywhere, jumped on by touts, avoiding the insane crazy traffic of everything including cows camels tuktuks and everyone trying to talk to you sell you something or take you somewhere. they offer you ten things, then if you say no to everything, then they offer you drugs .. insane. there are dirty animals everywhere, and the pollution is terrible. i think ive come at the wrong time of year ...

We arrived at Dalat around 5: 30am, which meant for a brutally cold scooter ride (why oh why doesn't this country use tuktuks?) a mercifully short distance to the cheapest hostel we could find in the book, the surprisingly nice and cozy (and WiFi'd!) outfit on the outskirts of town.
