I also elarnt more about hydro electric power, many lakes have been in NZ, as mentioned before, and twizel is one of those towns that was meant to shut down due to a lake beiong formed, instead it expanded, twizel doesnt rely on tourism, mainly kiwis live in twizel

Queenstown so i fancied letting my hair down, why not! first leg of journey was 45mins down the road to Twizel, the nearest town, we managed to walk for half an hour and get in a campervan by an old couple, the campervan was their homw it was huge!! then twizel walked for an hour,. and mamaged to get a ride with a guy called Brent, who has a daughter our age and said he picks up travellers cos he wouldnt want to imagine his own daughter out on her own on the street
