As far as 640K goes, reputedly that was Bill Gates when people were champing at the bit with limitations in DOS in terms of addressing memory (and for the first poster, the 512K addressing he was talking about was a BIOS issue in the IBM PC, not a DOS issue … … I was working under DOS in 1983 or thereabouts in college and it could address the full 640k), once other operating environments were supporting much more.
