I thought this one had been settled. Obviously the egg came first. There must have once been a creature other than a chicken, which laid an egg, from which hatched a chicken, right?

Fried egg is quicker than fried chicken by at least 10 minutes, so I'd guess the egg came first.

bilby - what kind of logic is that? Besides the fact that a fried egg is more delicious (over easy, of course), easier to accomplish, and probably more nutritious (aren't you a vegan?) than a fried chicken -- it's just ridiculous.

I know that's a lame argument, but I'm tired and ready for bed. And, as usual, a fried egg sounds really good right now... Mr. Dontcry makes this little piece of heaven he calls a 'hole-in-the-middle' which is a piece of bread, buttered on both sides with a hole torn from the center into which he cracks an egg and fries to a toasty, set, but not too set, perfection.

I was wrong to feed him Marmite...
