- noun Skimmed milk transformed by an exsiccator into a highly soluble powder which, when dissolved at a temperature of 60–70° C. above zero in a proper quantity of water, gives a solution with the same taste, smell, and other qualities as common milk. The flour, or powder, can be easily transported, and can be kept a long time without being spoiled.
