Andrew, I know you are aware of the phrase, but it seems that in the rush to jump on the word vendu too many people are forgetting the context here.

First of all, I agree that the use of the word vendu was carefully considered - considered, and rejected because (a) neither Harper nor anyone in his braintrust believe Dion is a vendu, and (b) because it would have a massive negative backlash from - guess who - respected opinion leaders like Coyne (I ignore Jason's objection here since whatever he says will just be chalked up to partisan outrage).
