What about parturient amnesia? There's also the horrible word eclampsia, for a horrible condition, but maybe you just want to stick with words associated with uncomplicated pregnancies?

Breaking of the waters probably has a very medical name for the same portentous event, although I like the grandiloquent, Biblical sound of it as it is.
