and, from the world of art, "pointillism". I don't mean to nit-pick, or pin you in a corner, but I see you have "steak", but have overlooked the more obvious "stake" (in various senses). Bilby's reference to Vlad was probably meant to suggest "impale", which is itself related to "pale", from Lat. palus, meaning "stake" or "picket" (as for a fence), which gives us also, metonymically, "the Pale", the imaginary fence beyond which Jews were not to venture in Russia, or English power in Eire.
