Ballander is a word used by the Buginese people of South Sulawesi Indonesia to refer to a Dutch person, I think it is a corruption of a Dutch word or phrase. It is also used by the Yolngu & other people of North East Arnhemland, Australia to mean a white person. The Bugis people sailed from Makassar South Sulawesi to Arnhemland for hundreds of years fishing for Trepang to sell to China. They stayed there for 6 months each year from November to April, until the Australian government stopped them in the early 1900"s. They left many other words there too.
