This word seems to be prevalent among descendants of Irish immigrants in Northwest New Jersey. I have also seen it used in the works of several Irish authors.
I'm originally from north-western New Jersey. The term wheelbar seems to have been used by old-time residents of the hills and ridges of the County of Sussex.
