  • Here is another hoity-toity phrase (intended to intensify the frustration of those who think I am trying to intensify class division...alexz...) that will only create division amongst those who find large vocabularies upsetting and those possessing one,

    ...with the 'answer' to the previous phrase - "Freedom from encrustations of grime is contagious to rectitude" being;

    "Cleanliness is next to godliness"

    Today's hoity-toity is;

    "Abstention from elevatory undertakings precludes a potential escalation of a lucrative nature!"

    ....meant for enjoyment....

  • Right bilby,

    It is the old saw; "He who laughs last, laughs best!"....

    How about;

    "Freedom from encrustations of grime is contagious to rectitude."

    ...I got a million of 'em!....

  • If a word has been looked up 1001 times, there must be some validity to its existence...

  • Help me identify the common phrase equivalent to this verbose phrase;

    "The person representing the ultimate cachination, possess, thereby, the optimal cachination."

    Thank you...(I have more if you get this one!)

  • Rectitude-

    Another hoity toity word introduced in the Georgian Era http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgian_era . There's nothing like using hoity toity words to intensify class divisions.

    " Rectitude is the conformity of actions to an acknowledged standard of right"

  • He who laughs last laughs loudest. Or something like that.

    Edit: Or she. But one finds laughter somewhat unladylike.
