What we usually do when there's a word missing is do a wordnik search for it, then put our definition in the comments (discuss) section. This makes it a searchable word.

It also means something different from diaphane, which refers to transparent sheeting or fine silk. A diaphonon (n) is an object. A transparent cloud is a diaphonon. The lens of an eye is a diaphonon. Clear glass is diaphonic, ergo; a piece of glass is a diaphonon. Historically, the word and its usage goes back to the day before yesterday. Wally Weet
