bilby commented on the word drunkorexia
"Growing numbers of women are skipping meals to allow them to binge drink without putting on weight. The phenomenon labelled drunkorexia was first identified in the United States to describe the practice among university students faced with the conflicting pressures of heavy drinking and staying slim. Believing they had to drink to be accepted by their peers, but not wanting to put on weight as a result, drunkorexics would avoid eating before a night on the town. Now medical authorities in Australia say drunkorexia is becoming a problem among young Australian women, too."
