a quick google search indicates it is painting something shiny.

it may have been one of those Crocodile Dundee type words spoken in the 60's and 70's

Duco appears to be an early automotive laquer
Early use goes back to 1925
"Our steel equipment will be ducoed to overcome the rust and be put in the basement in the Children's Room."

duco is in use as a cipher for automotive paint. ducoing is not.

I don't deny it's plausible. What I'm saying is that in 48 years of living in Australia I have not heard a live human being say it. Nor have I seen it on a document, workshop sign, etc.
