The local term for the delicious breakfast pastry I have with my café con leche every morning. What the madrileños used to call a bollo.
It is, of course, also the word for a bill, or a reckoning. Personally, I think it's kind of cute to be reminded of the day of reckoning as one loads up on the sugary, buttery, artery-clogging calories.
