An unfortunate new term, used with the meaning 'to assault a person by ramming a (drinking) glass in their face, neck or head'. The shattering of the glass leaves the victim with nasty lacerations. This kind of thing is happening at pubs and nightclubs where drinking glasses, because they are readily at hand, are being taken up as weapons.

"A Kaleen man who allegedly glassed his friend in the face after an alcohol-fuelled argument last August has been committed to stand trial in the ACT Supreme Court. Twenty-three-year-old Carl Leu is charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm. The former friends had been drinking at Wests Tavern in Kaleen for five hours before the alleged attack.
...
The court heard Leu approached the complainant outside the club and glassed him, leaving the victim with facial scarring. He is accused of pushing a schooner glass twice into the face of Owen Sutinen, then punching him."

Thanks for adding this term to the "Ugliness" list, bilby - a shard of seriousness that might elude this list otherwise.
