NE winds blowing near the Mediterranean Spanish coast. They are formed when a depression is situated between the Balearics and North Africa, usually when there is a high pressure over Europe to the north. They reach gale force in Spring (February to May) and autumn (October to December). In the summer (June to September) they are shorter with less wind.
