  • That's an abominable concept, Bestiary! I feel that people who commit libricide with premeditated intent ought to be punished with the full force of law. There should be no mercy for them. No, none.

  • Dunno. I've done a fair bit of libricide recently ... musty multicultural arts journals from the 80's and the like just had to go. Mind you, if I come across books that appear useful even though they don't appeal to me personally, I release them into the wild.

  • bestiary, how is this word pronounced?

    July 22, 2008

  • well, dictionary.com (2nd definition) says the latin is pronounced 'li-bree,' (i as in it) so i'd say 'li-bri-cide,' even though 'lee-' feels just as natural.
