At the time of this writing, there is no Macro in Visual Studio that points to ngen. exe, so you will need to specify the path yourself.

If your development environment is on a 64 bit machine, the application in Visual Studio by default will be created as a 32 bit application, and you should use the 32 bit ngen. exe in the Post-Build Event.

Whenever I try to run a command with ngen it returns an error "out of memory". ngen executequeueditems = out of memory, ngen update = out of memory.

While ngen is in this state, i thought the install might succeed (since no bad, queued up items would get in the way ... but alas, same result from the install) so now i tried clearing out the queue, by executing items at different status levels, like this: ngen executequeueditems 3 / nologo / verbose but the result is always:
