I did too, kewpid, but for some reason I really really hate this term.
Also, I take issue with M. LeBlanc down there. "RomCom" is not newly minted. I heard it probably ten years ago, at least.

Romcom is a contraction of "romantic comedy". I just saw it in a movie review in the Washington Post.
