I'll list it. I came across this stuff a few years ago when I was researching the history of a street in Italy called viale Sant'Antonio. What intrigued me was a piazzetta off the main drag with a statue of a pig set on a column. Traditionally, once a year on the Saint's day the locals would bring their pigs in to be blessed. Not all such locals were farmers. One was a noble who kept a pair of pigs - known as the signori della casa di Ranieri - as pets. He had permission to walk them in the city centre, providing he did so after the market had finished for the day. His pigs were said to be capable of hoovering up the debris in half an hour, thus rendering a valuable sanitation service to the city.
