My recommendation for the new name by which citizens of the United States refer to themselves. Because American can be confusing, and should refer to anyone who lives in the Americas, which encompass much more than just the USA. Who's with me?

Ahh, I confess I don't really care. I'm just a selfish American, anyway. :-)
I got in a mild dispute in high school with one of my friends who was from Honduras. He very passionately argued that he was an American, and I very coldly argued that he was not.
