Wordnikie ( meant to imply baby Wordnik, but sounds dreadful) who is uncertain of expected site usage, has questions. What site do you suggest I use to find the perfect word? If I can toss off several that are close but not quite "it."
I've just looked up collocate and collocation. When are clichés not collocations?
Have looked at my first Wordnik list (30,000+ is daunting), choosing Beautiful Words. Overly pleased by how often the sound, if not evoking the meaning, is at least in sync with it. Any suggestions of lists with same attribute? (Yes, yes, I know there's a word for this quality. After being a Wordnik participant for a few months/years, I may actually learn it. Note the "may.")
