One of the problems we have is that it's hard to search for lists. If you can recall a word that's on a list you have in mind, or can think of word that would be an obvious inclusion on the type of list you suspect may exist, you can try to find it that way. That's how I can recommend to you On the Border...of Imagination and Reality. That's unfortunately also how I failed to find a list we (mainly madmouth and I) did of fictional Irish towns. But there are other lists that deal with literary fictional places, like, err, Fictional Places. Probably more.
