The Spanish alphabet as of 2010 (or so Wikipedia assures me). It's missing ch, ll, and rr.
Apparently y is now "ye" (not "i griega").

It'll always be "i griega" to me! But why would you think "rr" might be a separate letter?

That's the way I learned it when I was a kid (a, be, ce, che, de, e, efe, ge, hache, i, jota, ka, ele, elle, eme, ene, eñe, o, p, cu, ere, erre, ese, te...). I suppose it's possible that the Royal Academy went back and changed all the books or something--all this talk of letters that have gone missing since my childhood (in the Latvian alphabet, too!) makes me feel as if I'm in a short story by Borges.

Frankly, I've always thought that 'k' was pretty unnecessary in Thpanish. In Thpain, at least, it could be eliminated and they could add a useful 'theta' letter inthtead.

It's probably the same for w.

Ru, perhaps it's a short story by Poe (http://www.yeoldelibrary.com/text/PoeEA/purloined/index.htm).

Ah, thank you Rolig--now I can imagine those poor wandering ch's and ll's hiding in plain sight within various words.
