It seemed to be the perfect solution: it lets you switch round the position of the d-pad and analogue stick so if you want it to be Xbox 360 style or Dualshock style, that's up to you.

I bought it because apparently it's an Xbox 360 pad with a decent 8-way d-pad, and it looks like a Sega Saturn pad.

I haven't really tried using the d-pad much yet but it didn't seem to do too well when I was testing it in windows - it kept hitting other directions for an instant before settling in diagonals.
