chained_bear commented on the word prevocalic
Before a vowel; of or pertaining to the position before a vowel.
The "prevocalic R," for example, is when people add an "r" between words that end and begin with vowels. In this usage, "Lisa and me" becomes "Lisar and me," or "Lisa rand me."
Which drives me bonkers, but there you have it.
