The 14th tallest mountain in the world, the last of the 8000-meter peaks to be scaled. Shishapangma is the only 8000-meter peak that lies completely within the borders of Chinese territory (Tibet). The spelling provided is the Tibetan spelling. The official name of the mountain is the Chinese phonetic rending of the Tibetan name. At 8,013 meters (26,289 ft), Shishapangma is the "shortest" of the 8000-meter peaks.
